The Capital City 5K for Organ, Tissue and Eye Donation
Help the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin celebrate 50 years of honoring all donors and raising awareness of “saying yes” to donation.
Join us at one of the region’s largest run/walk events as we unite community members, families, friends, supporters and healthcare professionals on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Capital City 5K for Organ, Tissue and Eye Donation.
The 5K, an USATF certified event, is managed by Next Level Sports and takes place on a beautiful summer evening in Madison. The run/walk begins at twilight (6:30 pm) on Capitol Square, winds along the bike path next to Lake Monona and ends at Goodman Park with a private pool party. Children 11 and under can join the fun by signing up for the Cap City KidsClub!
This celebration of life has become a Madison tradition celebrating champions for donation. More than 2,000 families in Wisconsin are hoping that their loved one will get a life-saving transplant. All proceeds go to support the programs and services of the NKFW for organ, tissue, and eye donors and families across Wisconsin.
Registration is now open. Register online using the link: https://bit.ly/2IwxUHv
New for 2018
Living donors will “meet up” prior to the event, sponsored by Living Donors Together of Wisconsin. Stay tuned to for details.
